How does it work?

WooCommerce offers direct bank transfer (wire transfer), check payment options. Just like the M-Pesa would be another extra option. The website will display the owner’s mobile number.(Actually a bank account number.) The buyer will pay via his own mobile phone using the USSD code and enter the information in the form (buyer’s mobile number and Ref ID).After receiving the order, the store owner will check the product purchase amount and mobile phone number.(actually a bank account number) and a reference ID (the transaction ID, which M-Pesa sends to the sender and receiver’s mobile phones).If all goes well, the Store-Owner will start processing to fulfill the order.

how to install?

  • Upload the “M-Pesa Mobile Payment for WooCommerce” plugin file to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory, or install the plugin directly through the WordPress plugin interface.
  • Then activate the plug-in.
  • Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Checkout > “M-Pesa Mobile Banking Payments” and set up your necessary customizations.
