OpenCart by default provides "Product Code" on product pages that display the product model number, butSome items do not have a model number, such as diamonds, jewelry, clothes, etc.So, at the time, SKUs were very helpful for store owners to uniquely identify their products and also for visitors/buyers to remember/note.
