• Deactivate active out-of-stock products
• Activate the inactive state of an in-stock product
• Deactivate active categories with no active products
• Deactivate active products not assigned to any active category
• Activate an inactive category with an active product
• Deactivate active manufacturers with no active products
• Activate an inactive manufacturer with an active product

You can also use cron tasks to automate each of the above, allowing your store to clean itself every day.
