Prestashop Presta Speed - image optimization

PrestaSpeed optimizes your Prestashop database, images, some modules and configurations to improve front and back-end access speed and free space on disk.

This module allows you to remove all statistics that are useless for store management and database overloaded (like user connections, abandoned cars, old customer messages, logs, store searches, old orders, etc.).We recommend using Google Analytics for advanced statistics and to avoid database overload (under normal traffic, databases tend to grow in size and reach gigabytes).

The module also optimizes all tables in the database, eliminating expired discounts or abandoned cars to reduce the size of the database and improve its performance.Now it also resolves bad queries in the table and removes junk from the database.From the PrestaShop dashboard, you can view database statistics and know when you should use the module.You can also delete a user's active orders and abandoned cars by date, which usually don't work after a few years.For department stores, this will help eliminate old orders by date and save database space.

PrestaSpeed is not limited to using databases, the module can clear cache and optimize CSS and JS files on your website, configure your store for best performance, compress fonts and more.You can now use Cron tasks to automatically optimize your site database. This module measures the speed of the site and you can see the performance increase (you have to visit the home page).PrestaSpeed has the option to automatically preload if you enable js/css compression in PrestaShop.This option preloads any page when the mouse is over a link, improving the speed of the site (PS 1.7+ only).

It also has an infinite scroll option to load some products on the category page and the rest while scrolling, saving a lot of time when loading the category page.

For the best performance in the background section, PrestaSpeed can optimize htaccess to increase the loading speed of your website and define the best configuration for caching, gzip, htaccess headers, etc.The last improvement is to use the reSmush service to optimize the store's images.You can get smaller image size with this optimization and apply it to any new product image or optimize all images for all products, image categories, module/theme images, logos, manufacturer/vendor images, scene images and CMS images as well as any pictures you pointed out.The module also allows you to erase all temporary images to save server space.The module has the option to restore an optimized image (saved with the -old extension) in the event of a failure.If your PrestaShop store has many images, you can configure a cron job to optimize all images at once, execute this job on the server.Another feature is to delete images of products that are no longer in use, such as products that have been deleted but the images remain on the server.We've added options to search and delete error_log files. These files contain PrestaShop bugs and sometimes it can be 1 GB or more in size. Now the module can search and delete them.If you use YouTube videos, a new feature is that YouTube loads a number of scripts (about 1MB) to your website when you combine videos.With the new PrestaSpeed code, YouTube upload size is reduced and your website is faster.
