Powerful filters are a versatilewpDataTables pluginIt extensively extends the default filtering functionality provided by wpDataTables for tables in WordPress. The plugin will add several new features to wpDataTables:

  • Cascade Filtering – Left to Right (Dependent)- With this option the user will be able to select filter values ​​in left-to-right order, the list of options in each next filter will be narrowed by the previous filter; only if a selection is made in the previous filter Each next filter is enabled.
  • Cascade Filtering – Free (Standalone)- This feature allows cascading filters to be used in WordPress tables without the limitation of always defining filter values ​​from left to right.The user can choose in any filter and it will narrow the filters for all other columns.It is implemented in a similar fashion in popular spreadsheet tools (Excel, Google Spreadsheets, etc.).
  • Hide table before filtering- By using this option, you can only show the filter on the front end and keep the table hidden until a selection is made in the filter.It is useful when filters and tables are used to search large catalogs and viewing the complete dataset is not relevant to the user.Note that the filter needs to be rendered outside the table so that the function can be used.
  • search button- By default, searching and filtering work “live” in wpDataTables – i.e. every time you change any filter, the table is updated with the new filter criteria.By using the search button functionality, you can change this behavior and have the table apply the filter only when the search button is clicked.This option also requires the filter to be rendered outside the table.
  • Disable search button until all filters are selected- If this option is enabled, the search button will remain disabled until some option from all available filters is selected. This feature is only used in conjunction with the Search Button.
